Who we are
Capital Keys Performing Arts Foundation (CKPAF) is a newly formed nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening and expanding access to classical music in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, CKPAF is committed to artistic excellence, meaningful community engagement, and creating cultural experiences that truly resonate.
Our immediate focus is the launch and growth of a high-quality public classical concert series. In these early years, we are concentrating our energy and resources on building this series with care, clarity, and artistic distinction. Every contribution directly supports performances that bring outstanding musicians and memorable musical experiences to our audiences.
Looking ahead, we envision expanding into broader artistic and educational initiatives. We are committed to growing thoughtfully — prioritizing depth, quality, and lasting value as we build a strong foundation for the future.
Why a New Concert Series — and Why Now
Washington, D.C. is rich in cultural, diplomatic, and intellectual life, yet opportunities for independent, artist-driven classical concert series remain limited. Beyond major institutional presenters, there are relatively few platforms dedicated to recurring, thoughtfully curated classical performances in more intimate and flexible settings.
CKPAF was founded to address this unmet need. Our concert series is designed to be artist-centered, adaptable, and responsive — embracing both traditional recital formats and imaginative, innovative programming. By balancing tradition with fresh curatorial perspectives, we aim to create concerts that feel more personal and engaging for audiences, while giving artists meaningful creative freedom and a platform to share their work in deeper ways.
