Schubert 200 Project

Complete Works with Piano: Chamber and Vocal Works

Franz Schubert (1797–1828) was a master of the late Classical and early Romantic eras, celebrated for bridging intimate emotional depth with rich melodic invention. Though his life was tragically short, he revolutionized the German art song (Lied) and left behind a remarkable legacy of symphonies, chamber music, and piano works that continue to move audiences around the world. To honor the bicentennial of his passing in 2028, Capital Keys proudly presents the Schubert 200 Project, including his complete works with piano.

At the heart of Schubert 200 is the presentation of Franz Schubert’s complete chamber and vocal works that include piano, excluding his solo piano repertoire. This focus highlights the piano in its most essential role within Schubert’s music - not as a virtuosic centerpiece, but as an equal partner in dialogue, color, storytelling, and narrative.

The repertoire will unfold across nine thoughtfully curated chapters (programs) from Chapter I through Chapter IX (2026-2028), each designed to balance artistic completeness with a compelling listening experience.
