In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States, this concert celebrates the richness and diversity of American musical identity through evocative works for voice and piano. Spanning generations and styles, the program moves from the Romantic lyricism of Edward MacDowell and Samuel Barber to the vibrant, modern voices of George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein. These works illuminate artistic, distinctive perspectives on the nation's expressive history, offering a powerful tribute to the evolving sound of America.
